The biggest impact of my addiction was the lack of results. I knew where I could go and I could have been away from whom. I was presented with a party view as a teen, where alcohol became my best friend and my worst enemy. I always took to drink at another level. By my senior year of high school, I became a black out night drinker and visited many times in the hospital.

After drinking, the school was always my second priority, so I went to college. Within the first year, I went through many conflicts to count four roommates, prison, and were asked to go. Because I still managed to get my work done, so I was able to complete the year. I went back home to start a small college, thinking that the life of the hostel is not for me .... Never believe that alcohol was the issue.

I went with my husband in the fall of 2009, when I quickly realized that it would not be easy to get away from my drinking. Shortly after moving ahead, he suggested that I go to the outpatient program. (After going into IOP and baring the bar after work) I made another trip to the ER after intervention, where Jim R. and Mike D from the Methodist IOP helped me to visit the Tara Treatment Center. Tara introduced me with Alcoholics Anonymous and gave me the necessary tools to start a new life.

I have been quiet since December 1, 2009. I went back to school, finished some of the classes left to get a degree in graphic design, and worked as a graphic artist for Adidas for almost 7 years. I love my sobriety and is involved with the recovery community! I started asking myself what else can I do. I decided to go to school in the summer of 2017 for career change. My goal is to earn BSW and maybe earn one MSW one day! In June 2018, I became a Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach through ICADA and made it as a Lead Recovery Coach for IU Health in the Addiction Area! "
